Whatever your style, we have a wooden curtain pole to suit, with colours and finishes ranging from white, cream, black and gold to antique pine, ash and many more.
A simple grey curtain pole, for example, goes great with a Japanese-inspired look. While a white wooden curtain pole is perfect for a Scandi vibe. An oak finished curtain pole sits well in traditional interiors. And you can even order an unfinished curtain pole so you can paint it to match your soft furnishings or paintwork – or add a standout pop of colour.
To give you the best choice and quality, we stock a mix of well-known, trusted brands, including Swish, Integra, Hallis and Rolls, with Rolls Honister being our most popular range.
Exactly the right size for you
Our wooden curtain poles are available in a range of diameters, from 28mm curtain poles to 55mm curtain poles. The heavier your curtains, the thicker your pole must be to ensure it can carry the weight. Remember, the diameter also affects the look – so you may prefer a chunky curtain pole, even if you have lightweight curtains.
We also offer a variety of lengths to cover all types of windows, from small casement cottage windows to wide picture windows in an office.
Ideally, your curtain pole should be at least 30cm longer than the width of your window. This allows space at each side, so your curtains let maximum light into the room when pulled back. Most of our wooden poles have matching curtain holdbacks to keep your curtains tidy and away from the window when open.
Can’t find exactly the right length? It’s easy to cut our wooden poles down to size. If you order a longer pole that’s supplied in two lengths, just make sure you cut an equal amount off each pole, so the joint stays in the middle.
Everything you need to fit your pole
Included in each of our curtain pole kits is the pole, plus curtain rings, brackets and finials (the decorative end pieces). Longer poles supplied in two lengths come with a joining piece to connect them. And a third bracket for the centre to add extra support and conceal the joint between the two halves.
